Austin orthodontics. This is the study and treatment of misaligned teeth. There are many different approaches to orthodontics and they all depend on individual anatomical conditions and peculiarities. Nobody is too old to undergo orthodontic treatment,
Orthodontics: Teeth may be crowded or have gaps between them, crooked, causing problems in the jaw, stick out too far, or not far enough. (Young children should always be monitored to ensure that their upper archway is expanding as their adult teeth prepare to erupt, because intervention at age 7 or 8 often prevents many of the problems that later require braces or any need for the orthodontist.) There are as many variations on orthodontic treatments as there are patients, but some of the most common approaches include realignment by using a palatal expander, space maintainers, braces, and removable appliances. The ultimate aim is to realign the teeth so that not only the patient’s appearance is improved, but a healthier mouth is created that won’t be at such a high risk for tooth decay or loss, jaw problems or gum disease.
